She has received several fiction and nonfiction awards from the Pacific Northwest Writers Association, a second award from Willamette Writers and a business writing award from Associated Oregon Industries. A graduate of Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut, and Boston University's School of Public Communication, Lisa is a former staff reporter for the Cape Cod Times, a daily newspaper in Hyannis, Massachusetts.
