Lisa Cohn has worked as a writer for more than 20 years, focusing on energy and environment.
She has received ten writing awards, from the Pacific Northwest Writers Association, Willamette Writers, Associated Oregon Industries, Parenting Publications of America and other associations.
Her stories about energy and environment have appeared in Mother Earth News, Natural Home Magazine, Horizon Air Magazine, Oregon Business, Open Spaces, Electrical World, Business Week, the Portland Tribune, The Oregonian, Renewable Energy World, EnergyBiz, Windpower Monthly and other publications.
For more than 20 years Lisa worked as a stringer for newsletters published by McGraw-Hill/Platt’s Energy that focus on energy and environment. She is a former U.S. stringer for Windpower Monthly Magazine, a former associate editor of Oregon Business and a former editor of Forest Perspectives, a quarterly magazine published by the World Forestry Center. She began her writing career as an energy and environment reporter for The Cape Cod Times.
